Together on Tuesday

Mom Paula loves waking up to this view in the morning. No matter how bad she feels or what is happening, seeing Truffle and Brulee first thing always brings a smile to her face and warmth in her heart.

There's been a lot of sadness in the Cat Blogosphere this month. We've lost a lot of our feline friends to the Bridge and others are ill.

Each loss touches us in a way we can't describe. Many of us (humans) have never met the people behind the cats or the cats in person, but each and every one of them have become part of our cat blogging community and are a part of our family.

Mom Paula was sitting at the computer this morning with tears flowing because another Silver Shaded Persian that is part of a private Facebook group she is a member of had emergency surgery to unblock his urethra because of stones and he didn't make it because the potassium level was too high and his brain activity had stopped. Our purrs and comforting thoughts go out to Lisa Shackelford as she grieves the loss of Alchemist Stargate Adventure, aka Stargy this morning.

Mom Paula: I think this loss hit me especially hard this morning because it reminded me of Truffle going through her recent bladder surgery and Brulee being rushed to the emergency animal hospital so sick.

Another kitty who touched our heart this week was the loss of Josie from Jasper McKitten-Cat. Dad Dean and Mom Jeni lost Jasper in January of this year, so we know this loss is hard on them. Mom Paula knows Dean because he is the person who started her blogging with Sweet Praline back in 2008. Our hearts are breaking with them as they grieve the loss of this sweet girl.

Our thoughts, purrs, and prayers are with others in the cat blogging community who've lost their fur children lately.

  9. Mama really hates seeing a new post in the CB from friends because she worries someone else is very sick or has been lost...

  11. First, let me say that waking up at any time of night and seeing all the cats around me is a comforting site. It matters to me be liked by cats that hrtey want to be near me.

Second, that's why it is so hard on us when they have to leave our world. They are with us long enough to become an assumed part of our existence. And then, suddenly, reality intrudes...

  12. Thank you so much Paula... I am just now reading this because I am at a place where I can. My heart is so shattered. Stargy was my baby and I am so still in shock. The pain is so intense... Thank God for my Harry and Mica!!! I’m grateful for. My two friends Pam and Pam and my sweet boyfriend Steve. They are doing everything they can to help me. Everyone, of including you and your followers, are making this a bit more bearable... ❤️ I need so many prayers...

  13. I'm so-o sorry about your furr-iends Stargy and Josie. I wish I had the opportunity to know them. Mom sheds tears, too, when she learns of furr-iends that are sick or have gone OTRB. Last week I learned my furr-iend Binky got real sick from the hot weather and I am crossing my paws that she can gain strength so she can have more pussycat lives. I cross my paws that Truffle and Brûlée have no more health issues. Hugs.
