Wouldn't  you love to go to a meeting where everything is about celebrating cats?!? We have an exciting event occurring in Rosemont (near Chicago), IL next month to tell you about. It's the Meow MeetUp Chicago.

The Meow Meetup Chicago is happening July 20-21, 2019 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.

Interview with Lauren Mieli

I had the privilege of interviewing the founder of Meow MeetUp Chicago, Lauren Mieli. Lauren is a marketing executive with over 20 years experience working for various Fortune 50 brands. She has combined her talent for business development and love of cats into a number of successful businesses. Lauren is the founder of The Catnip Times (2012), which is an award-winning cat blog with more than 1 million followers on social media. Lauren started the Meow MeetUp in 2018 and it's the Midwest's largest conference for cat lovers. Lauren is launching a new pet tech business in 2019 that will be featured at Meow MeetUp 2019.

Meow MeetUp Chicago 2019

Meow MeetUp Cat Expo& Festival is the first and largest convention for cat lovers in the Midwest. It's an immersive experiential event where cat lovers from all over Chicago and other parts of the country come to enjoy all things cat, such as, kitty yoga, a cat cafe, presentations by cat experts, paws-on workshops, celebrity cat meet & greets, shopping, entertainment, and more! A portion of the profits from Meow MeetUp will go to local rescues and cats in need. Meow MeetUp is donating 15% out of every full-price ticket sold through a rescue to that rescue. In 2018, Meow MeetUp raised over $10,000 and donated over 16,000 cans of food to homeless cats and pets in need.

When Lauren was asked why someone should attend Meow MeetUp, she responded "Come out from behind your computer and hang out with fellow cat lovers who like you, are obsessed with their cats! You'll make instant friends and have so much fun learning, shopping and taking part in all of the cat-tivities. Activities include: Fun and educational presentations, kitty yoga, cat café, paint your pet's portrait, breakfast & kitty bingo, meow mixer after party, cat-lebrity meet and greets, "meet the breeds" by CFA, pampurr pawlor, shopping and more!"
