One brand of food I've always depended on and that my cats love is Merrick®.
We've shared posts about various recipes of Merrick cat food over the past 8 years. The original favorite was Turducken™ which was a combination of turkey, duck, and chicken. You can still find this recipe at some of the online pet stores. Recently, Merrick rebranded its cat food and there are three different recipes: Backcountry®, Limited Ingredient Diet, and Purrfect Bistro®. We reviewed the Backcountry Raw Infused Recipes in August and the rabbit formula was our favorite.

Brulee and Truffle eating the Merrick® Purrfect Bistro® Bon Appetits Chicken Recipe Chunks in Gravy |
We've tried several of the Merrick® Purrfect Bistro® recipes, but were new to the Bon Appetits recipes. Merrick was kind enough to send us a few samples of the Merrick Bon Appetits in salmon, chicken, and turkey flavors. The first pouch that was opened was the chicken and both Brulee and Truffle immediately began eating and eventually cleaned their bowls. Our readers know that Truffle will eat almost anything and Brulee is our finicky feline. The fact that both cats liked the food was a plus for me! We also received a few cans of the Purrfect Bistro canned recipes. Merrick has a rabbit recipe in the Purrfect Bistro flavors, so we definitely had to try it (we already loved the Merrick Backcountry rabbit recipe). We weren't disappointed and loved it.
What makes the Merrick Purrfect Bistro cat food special?
Purrfect Bistro® is 100% grain-free, highly-digestible, and delicious. This food is high in essential fatty acids like Omega-3 and 6, which is needed for healthy skin and super-soft fur. Truffle is on a prescription kibble for her bladder stone surgery almost 2 years ago. I noticed her fur wasn't as soft from eating just the prescription food, so I've added high-quality, high-protein wet food to her diet, especially since the wet food contains Omega-3 and 6, and helps with hydration. The Purrfect Bistro recipes are packed with animal protein which supplies vital nutrients for your cat's strength and health. There are a variety of flavors and textures (kibble, chunks, and pate). Merrick adds vitamins, minerals, and taurine to the Purrfect Bistro recipes. These recipes are packed with antioxidants (immune health) and never contain any artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives.

Brulee and Truffle eating their Merrick Purrfect Bistro canned cat food |
Merrick is so confident that your pet will love the taste of their food that they offer a 100% guarantee and if your cat of you aren't completely satisfied, you can return it for a refund.
What's even better about the Merrick Purrect Bistro cat recipes is that Truffle and Brulee love it, will eat it, and their coats are looking so much softer. As you can see in the photo above, both girls literally ate side-by-side while they were eating, which is a rare occurrence. We encourage you to visit the Merrick Website and see all of the Purrfect Bistro recipes that are available for your cat.

Nice Post, I remember you mentioning cat foods from Merrick in the past. Must be a nice food, those kitties look like they love to eat it. I like that Purrfect Bistro includes the needed Omegas to keep cats healthy. (Ava, Dachshund Station)
ReplyDeleteClearly a hit at your house :) Such cute photos.
ReplyDeleteWe've pretty much enjoyed the things we've had from Merrick, they seem like a really good company.
ReplyDeletemy cats rotate proteins so thhey would love to try any and all flavors!
ReplyDeleteI always love to read that our pets are trying and loving new foods as variety is so important. Good luck to all those that enter as not having a cat we will not be doing so
ReplyDeleteThe Surf & Turf paté 3-oz cans look inneresting. Thank you for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI'm always looking for food my senior girl, Moko will eat. She's having a rough patch right now and not eating much. I really don't want to lose her, so I'm trying everything to get her to eat. I even pick up chicken from the deli at our local grocery (it's her favorite - after I take off breading/skin and remove bones). I think she'd like the chicken flavor of this food the most.
ReplyDeleteThey all look good - but I'd like to try that surf and turf pate!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the girls like it!
ReplyDeleteI've tried Backcountry and it was a no go in our house. Oddly enough, I don't think my cats would eat rabbit. Duck is about as exotic as Ellie will get and Bear won't even do that! They don't even like lamb!
ReplyDeleteErr ... just to clarify ... I didn't try the Backcountry - I let the cats try it. I need to work on my communication skills.
DeleteMy cat would like the chicken pate variety.
ReplyDeleteI usually buy the duck pate when I purchase this brand but maybe I'd want to go with rabbit pate for something a bit different or a classic like chicken.
ReplyDeleteBeef Wellington-- how fancy! :)
ReplyDeleteThis brand looks so wonderful. I think that my cats would like to try the rabbit-- they've never had rabbit before, and they seem to enjoy trying new things.

My cat would love the Thanksgiving Day Dinner!!
ReplyDeleteMom says I'm a real picky eater. She keeps a chart of different brands and flavors and ranks them by how I respond to eating them as "like", "hit or miss", or dislike." I think I'd like to try the Merrick noms. Purr purr purr.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the salmon flavor
ReplyDeleteI don't own a cat, but this food sounds wonderful. Merrick actually made turducken? Wow!
ReplyDeleteThe girls look as if they are really enjoying that food and I know the Merrick name by reputation. I wish I could win the food, I bet Harvey would gobble the whole lot MOL!!!
ReplyDeleteDon't all cats demand the finer things? *giggle
ReplyDeleteMy cats loved it when we tried it too. The rabbit is a fan favorite here too.
ReplyDeleteIt is a great feeling to find a pet food that both you and your pets can approve! I think it is a good sign if they offer a money back guarantee too.
ReplyDeleteMy cat would like the salmon recipe. He really likes Merrick, we bought it before, but just the cans, we haven't tried the pouches yet.
ReplyDeleteJayce would probably love the Purrfect Bistro Bon Appétits Turkey Recipe Morsels in Gravy. As for Keala, our picky cat, she probably wouldn't even try them. LOL.
ReplyDeleteThese found very tasty alas we can't enter, so we will wish our US colleagues well in the giveaway competition, and hope that maybe this product will come to UK?
ReplyDeletePurrs

ReplyDeleteThe Surf N Turf Pate would probably be her favorite.
ReplyDeleteMy cat would enjoy the Chicken Divan.
